Founded in 1973 by Liz Christy and the Green Guerillas, this is New York City’s original community garden. Maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers, the Liz Christy Garden serves as an inspiration to gardeners of all skill levels and as an urban oasis for residents of the Lower East Side and the East Village.
