Is the threat of a cyberattack at the magnitude of 9/11 on the horizon? Well, the members of Congress think so. Lawmakers continuously caution the US will suffer a cataclysmic cyberattack and claim it will be America’s twenty first century Pearl Harbor. The Pentagon has announced that cyberattacks will be met with military attacks and US officials claim online hackers are the new terrorists and must be stopped. So are hackers the new terrorists?
